For years I have been seeing many kinds of craft at various locations on the planet, so yes, I think this story has a high probability of being factual. I must also say that I heartily disagree that the people of Earth would lose their minds over this.

The necessary adjustments would be made. As to why there would be a breakdown within societies if we knew of the existence of extra terrestrials, that is something that I find hard to believe. Why would the presence of extra terrestrial entities make society break down even more? My last point on this is that if they have gathered behind the Moon [and I have no reason to say otherwise] then they are obviously preparing for something…a wholehearted attack on our Planet Earth maybe?

This may have been good if it had tried to tell one story line.

But, the writer in me loved this book. I'd never read or heard of Madison Smartt Bell, but this seems to be a seasoned novelist having fun. Having passed out of the want to impress, this is my favorite kind of novel-- weird, rich in language, utterly self-indulgent. I think I missed a few beats, plot wise-- entirely my fault for finishing the novel over Stone IPA but, I enjoyed the read, and that's what matters, yeah? From the heart-racing opening to the eye-opening end, you won't be able to put this book down. This cinematic novel is a rare combination of smart literary novel and compelling page-turner, at once menacing and sweeping, dark and transportive, eloquent and hallucinatory.
